Mosquito 1 and 2
The rebel fleet often has to scrounge for resources to build military ships and more often than not, many of their ships are stolen from others. Which is why Mosquitos are often refit and rebuilt Luna class shuttles. They are easily obtained from merchants and easily smuggled to their outposts in the outer planets. Because of their light weight, they use small Plutonium and Uranium reactors to power engines no larger than RCS thrusters on most ships and stuff the whole lot into a nacelle with some fuel bottles. Fuel is also stored inside a ring around the crude airlock toward the rear of the craft and the rest of the interior is used for life support and living space. Some resourceful Captains also find ways of storing fuel in the wings as well because the wings do not retract after the mosquito is modified.
The second mosquito revision added what is called a "pitch nacelle" which assists the craft in climbing and diving, making the mosquito nearly as maneuverable as the ASF X-Fire in the right hands.
